Carpentry/Maintenance:
Works under the direction of staff Carpenter, Trades Maintenance workers, and assistant crew leaders. Performs all types of carpentry duties, including cleaning, sanding, caulking, sawing, routering, gluing, applying plastic laminates, assembly and mounting of furniture, applying spray lacquer with HVLP equipment, and misc. tasks. This position is also responsible for cleaning of radiator fin tubes in resident rooms, cleaning mechanical rooms, and general labor. Must be able to work well with co-workers, customers, and general public. Employees in this position must be able to competently and safely use all types of power tools including routers, drills, saws, table and chop saws, painting equipment, air compressors, cleaning chemicals, and be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
Workers must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution or provide documentation of other student status.
Preference will be given to UO students. Applicants must be 18 years old by June 14, 2010. Student employees in this position must be able to do sustained physical labor in all types of weather conditions, follow written and oral instructions and practice safe work procedures. Workers will be required to present photo identification; social security card; proof of age, Proof of student status; I-94 and I-20 front and back copies( if non-resident alien); green card or I-151 front and back copies(if resident alien). |

Must be available to work between 7:00 am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, number of hours per day/week may vary depending on student class schedule and operational need. Work begins Monday June 14, 2010 and continues until Friday September 10, 2010. |
