Health and Wellness
The University of Oregon believes that a healthy student is a successful student, and we have several great resources to students to help keep them in prime learning condition.
The University Health Center provides general medical care, in addition to a pharmacy, massage therapy, dental work, and many other services.
Physical Education and Recreation also offers a number of ways for students to improve their wellness. Use of the Student Rec Center is included in student fees; there are also fitness classes, intramural teams, and an aquatics center for student, faculty, and staff use. Whether you want a personal trainer to help get your workout in gear, you prefer solo workouts, or you like taking yoga in a group, you can find a service that fits your style.
University Housing takes every aspect of health seriously, including mental health. Counseling services are provided by the University Counseling and Testing Center free of charge. Counselors can also provide referrals to community resources if a longer-term solution is needed. The Counseling Center offers individual counseling, group counseling, eating disorders treatment, learning disorders and ADHD assessment, and services for specific populations, including transgender students, international students, and veterans. Additionally, the University Health Center’s primary care physicians and nurse practitioners can treat mental health concerns. Health Center psychiatrists can further provide individual psychotherapy and medication management for on-going or serious emotional concerns.
If you’re not sure what services you need or are unsure about how to access those services, don’t hesitate to talk with your student staff member. They’re a great resource that can help you better understand the services available to you here at the University of Oregon. Your mental health is extremely important to us, and we want you to be as successful as you possibly can during your time here.
Alcohol and Drug Use

All illegal drug use is prohibited.
