This is an exciting time at the University of Oregon, as we are experiencing growth that has been made possible by Campaign Oregon, the most successful private fundraising campaign in state history. Residents of University Housing are getting a front row seat for the action. North of Hamilton Complex, the Academic Learning Center for student athletes is quickly taking shape. And, to the east of Hamilton Complex and the north of Bean Complex and East Campus Graduate Village, Matthew Knight Arena and an alumni center are underway.
The various construction schedules mean there is likely to be noise, dust, and other disturbances throughout the year, particular for those residents close to the construction sites. Noise can be expected Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with less noisy activity starting as early as 7 a.m. However, the contractor may have some critical work that could be scheduled on a Sunday, the dates of which would be posted at: construction.uoregon.edu.
At times, study or sleep in the immediate vicinity of the construction sites may be impacted during the day. The UO is making every effort to minimize disruptions for residential students, while still maintaining tight construction schedules.
