Global Scholars Hall
The Global Scholars Hall, set to open in fall 2012, creates a home for 450 students immersed in a challenging world of global study and culture. The building features a variety of living spaces and an inspiring design, incorporating spaces for classes, dining, performance, and residential faculty. To learn more about this community please visit the Global Scholars Community page.
The Global Scholars Hall provides a dynamic learning environment for students seeking a comprehensive academic experience, such as those enrolled in the Robert D. Clark Honors College, College Scholars, or the global scholars language programs in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, German, and French.
Each of the residential communities has its own purpose, and each shares the goal of promoting global citizenship. Through activities such as campus United Nations, World Café, and international virtual summits, students can gather and join the global conversation. Building features include a resident scholar, a learning commons and librarian, five incorporated classrooms, a multipurpose performance room with elevated stage, study rooms, a presentation practice room, and the Fresh Marketcafé.
Spaces in the hall are filled by the Academic Residential Programs (ARP) in partnership with University Housing. Students enrolled in these programs are given priority to live in the hall. New students may not directly choose the Global Scholars Hall when applying for housing, but must contact, enroll in, and be placed by one of the ARP.

Disclaimer
The room assignment process is designed to promote academic communities centered on particular themes or interests.
Therefore, room assignments for first-year residents are based on residential freshman interest groups selections,
special-interest hall selections, roommate preferences, and room rate preferences.
As experienced students, returning residents have the opportunity to select rooms prior to the regular room
assignment process and are the only students able to select the exact location of their rooms.
Floor plans are provided to demonstrate differences between room types. Individual rooms vary.
All dimensions and square footage are approximate and should not be relied upon as representation, express or implied,
of your actual assigned room. Additionally, some single rooms may come with two beds.
