"I would definitely recommend the halls to freshmen, because you meet more people than you've ever met in your life, and you have a great time."

"I would have to say that my favorite thing about the residence halls is the location. Living on campus enables new students such as myself to be more involved and learn more about campus. One of the great benefits of the res halls is the fact that it takes less than ten minutes to walk to class AND you can come back to your room during those awkward and annoying hour-long breaks. Other than classes, the great thing about living on campus is the fact that you can never get bored. There is always something going on, either in the residence halls, in the EMU, or even lectures to attend."

"Right away a FIG is helpful, because it almost forces you to make friends, and they are the people you live with. It's good because you go out for "family dinners" and get to know people on such a close level. I have made friends in the dorms that I will have my whole life, I'm so glad I lived here."

I plan to live in Barnhart next year, because I enjoy being able to be on my own, but still be surrounded by my friends."

"I would recommend living in the dorms, because you can meet so many people without going anywhere. You are forced to meet everyone."

"I am going to be Resident Assistant, but even if I wasn't, I would live on campus at least through my sophomore year because of how easy it is... no bills, no cooking, and everything else you need is either taken
care of or has easy accessibility."

"Single rooms are really nice for privacy, but make sure that you have a good friend nearby that you can go out with to meet new people or just to grab a bite to eat with.
I love the squirrels on campus, because you can't be unhappy when you watch them run around."

"My favorite thing about living in the dorms was making eight new best friends who go to dinner, study, hang out, and party together.
I enjoy eating Carson dinners, because as a hall we always eat together and talk about our day, and make plans for that night. It's kind of a bonding activity.
I think that living in the residence halls has helped me academically, because I can meet up with friends from classes on campus to study together, and work around group projects."

"People who don't live in the residence halls for at least a year of their college experience are really missing out. The residence halls are where you meet your friends and build your community... they're where you meet your university family."
