University Housing is committed to helping all incoming students enjoy a good year in the residence halls.
Perhaps one of the toughest adjustments that new students have is sharing a room.
We know through years of experience that the most successful roommates are the ones who effectively
communicate with each other.
Resident Assistants (RAs) are live-in student staff members who are trained in conflict
resolution and can locate campus resources to assist you.
-
Residents must complete appropriate paperwork through the area desk and obtain signatures from their roommate,
Resident Assistant, and Complex Director to be placed on a waiting list for a room transfer.
-
Residents can sign up for the waiting list at their area desk after the tenth day of fall term.
-
Actual transfers take place on a priority and space-available basis.
-
Residents agree to complete a room transfer within forty-eight hours of receiving notification or by the end of the term,
whichever comes first.
-
There is a $10 administrative charge assessed to the resident's university account for every completed transfer
made after the first room transfer.
We encourage you to review and follow the Moving Out Guide.
