Residence hall room assignments are based upon your selection of a Residential FIG, your special-interest hall choices, and your room-type preferences. Special-interest halls take precedence over room types.
Please note that if you later decide to join a Residential Freshman Interest Group (ResFIG), that preference will determine the special-interest hall in which you will live. Also, if you are requesting a specific roommate, be sure you select the same special-interest halls in the same order of preference as your roommate.
You are excited about college and are looking forward to immersing yourself in the broad college
You want to live in a community committed to gender equity. Residents of this hall (and only this hall) can choose to room with a student of any gender. This community is created for students who do not wish to be limited in housing spaces by gender or sex. This is an inclusive space for transgender students, students in the process of discovering their gender identity, gay or bisexual students, students who feel uncomfortable rooming with members of the same gender, intersex students who do not wish to be identified by any sex, and students who feel that they would be more comfortable with roommate of a different gender.
