Summer Housing
|
During summer, the residence halls are home to youth camps, UO-affiliated conferences, and UO summer session students. In 2008, the halls will also be home for many participating in the Olympic Track & Field Trials. Senior citizens who are residents of the state of Oregon may audit UO classes free of charge and may be eligible for summer housing. Out-of-state senior citizens are eligible for summer housing by paying tuition for the classes they attend.
The University of Oregon houses two different Elderhostel groups over the summer. Both occur from late June to mid-July. Dates and contact information are listed on the Conferences website.
The University of Oregon is hosting the 2008 Olympic Track & Field Trials from June 27-July 6, 2008. This
spectacular event is likely to impact your stay if you are living on campus during this week. There will be a considerable amount of traffic around the residence halls and Hayward Field. Parking will be limited and related festivities will occupy much of campus. Visit eugene08.com for more information.
First-time UO freshmen are encouraged to start living in the
residence halls at the beginning of fall term.
