As we near the end of winter term and begin preparing for spring term, please take note of the following dates, deadlines, and instructions.
End of Term Plans Form
Please complete the End of Winter Term 2022 Plans form on your My Housing account by Sunday, March 13. On this form, you will indicate if you are returning for spring term and any days you will be staying over spring break, or if you are checking out and not returning for spring term.
If you are not living on campus for spring term, you must submit your plans on the End of Winter Term 2022 Plans form on My Housing, remove all your belongings, and return your key to your service center prior to winter closing on Friday, March 18, at 7:00 p.m. If you move out any time after Friday, March 18, you will be charged for the first 10 days room and board for spring term. Should you be continuing as a student at UO, please review the Residence Hall Contract for information on the termination fees.
Staying for Spring Term
If you are continuing to live on campus for spring term, please complete the End of Winter Term 2022 Plans form on your My Housing account by Sunday, March 13.
Spring Break Housing
If you are continuing to live on campus for spring term, you may stay in your room during spring break for no additional charge. Please complete the End of Winter Term 2022 Plans form on your My Housing account by Sunday, March 13, to indicate which days you will be staying in your room over spring break.
Meal points will be prorated for finals week (March 13-18) and Saturday, March 26. Your regular weekly point allotment will resume the week of March 27. Rollover points expire on March 18, and meal plans are not available March 19-25. Visit our website for more information on dining venue hours and prorated points.
New Roommates May Move In While You are Away
If your room has a vacant space in it, our staff will be entering over spring break to prepare the space for a new roommate. Please be sure that your belongings are not on the side of the room the new roommate will be using. In the event that you come back from spring break and find a new roommate living in your room, we hope that you will extend them a warm UO welcome.
Maintenance and Custodial
University Housing staff may enter your room during the break for custodial work, bathroom inspections, maintenance work, and/or sanitation reasons. Prior to departing for spring break, be sure to clean your in-room bathroom and take out your trash to avoid fines. Submit Fix-It requests on My Housing for any items that need maintenance or inspection.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email or call or text our office at 541-346-4277.
