Application and Rate Information

When will I be able to log in to fill out my re-apply application?

You are able to submit your re-apply application now until May 1!

How much does it cost to live in the residence halls?

The rates for 2018-19 academic year will be finalized in spring by the Board of Trustees. We anticipate rates will change from year to year, to view the 2017-18 rates, visit the cost page.

Is there a prepayment or application fee involved with my applications?

Yes, there is a $350 prepayment that will be required when you confirm your room. Your prepayment is applied towards your total room and board. There is no application fee for returning residents.

Is the $350 prepayment refundable?

If you cancel by May 1st, the $350 prepayment is fully refundable. To view the cancellation refund schedule, visit the cancellation page.

How can I make my payment to complete my re-application?

As part of the re-apply application, you will make your $350 prepayment on QuikPay using Visa, MasterCard or an e-check.

Rooming Options

Will I be able to review the profile(s) for my potential roommate(s)?

Yes, when reviewing the room details of a potential room, you are able to see the currently assigned roommates, their lifestyle preferences and have the ability to send them a message.

Are there single rooms available?

Yes, depending on what is available at the time you apply.

What is the Gender Equity Hall?

University Housing is committed to providing a community without limiting housing spaces by gender or sex. Residents of the hall can choose to room with a student of any gender. Visit the Specialized Communities page for more information.

If I keep the same room will the community around me change?

It is possible to return to the same room for a second year. Your community may change depending on the number of new and/or returning students in your hall and which building the community is assigned. If your community changes, we will notify you.

Are there ADA accessible rooms offered?

Yes, you should contact University Housing at housing@uoregon.edu or by phone at 541-346-4277 so we can make sure we are meeting your needs.

Returning Residents

Why do returning residents get priority?

Returning residents get priority because we want you to have your first choice. We are dedicated to ensuring that your next year living in the residence halls is just as great as—if not better than—your first.
 

What are the details about the Summer Storage space?

When you re-apply for 2018-19, pay your prepayment, and sign your contract, you will recieve 20 cubic feet of summer storage in one of our residence halls. You will be notified about the location in the first week in June 2018. If you should re-apply and later cancel your contract, you will be responsible for full payment of the storage space you used as well as any contract obligations. Please visit the summer storage page for a complete list of policies, procedures, and information. Please Note: the included storage is limited and only available for the first 250 students who select the storage on their re-application.

What dining plan can I choose?

You may choose any residential meal plan offered by University Housing.
