Description: A core value of Residence Life at the University of Oregon centers around fostering Academic Residential Communities (ARCs) to support students’ academic and social transition to a liberal arts and sciences research university, and ultimately bridge in- and out-of-class learning. Residence Life cultivates ARCs in collaboration with academic colleges and departments, Student Life units, and other campus and community partners. ARCs aspire to create dynamic learning environments that offer sustained engagement between residential students and faculty, advisors, tutors and peer mentors that endure throughout the first year and beyond. Housing Facilities Student Summer Paint, Maintenance & Grounds Workers

Description: We have multiple openings in our three student summer Facilities crews:
Paint Crew = 30 openings
Maintenance Crew = 15 openings
Grounds Crew = 4 openings
Paint crew employees will perform tasks in the residence halls learning to mask, patch, sand, prime and paint multiple surfaces.
Maintenance crew employees will assist in a range of projects that require attention to detail. Projects may include, but are not limited to: carpeting university rooms and apartments, installation and demolition of bathroom stalls and repairing dorm halls and apartments. Employees must be able to work individually, as well as in a group. They need to have a fluid range of motion and dexterity for certain tasks. Be prepared for physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying heavy objects. Employees will learn how to use power tools and other skills needed to work in a woodshop.
Grounds employees will perform the daily and seasonal work required to upkeep multiple apartment complexes and homes.
Housing Facilities Student Maintenance Worker

Description: The Housing Facilities Student Maintenance employee will assist in a range of projects that require attention to detail. Must be prepared for physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, need to have a fluid range of motion and dexterity for certain tasks. The student employee will learn how to use power tools and other skills needed to work in a woodshop.
