Located on the east side of campus, Global Scholars Hall has multi-gendered floors and houses a learning commons and a live-in faculty member. The main level of this building features classroom spaces, a demonstration kitchen, music practice rooms, study areas, and a dining area.

The Robert D. Clark Honors College and the Global Engagement Academic Residential Community benefit from the use of the classrooms, the great room, and the study spaces in Global Scholars Hall. The Global Engagement program uses the test kitchen to showcase foods from the cultures and languages.

Center for Undergraduate Research and Engagement (CURE)

If you want to get involved in research—even as early as your first year on campus—stop by the CURE advising office located in the Global Scholars Hall commons area. Drop-in advising on undergraduate research opportunities and distinguished scholarships is available Monday–Thursday 4:00–6:00 p.m. Stop by and get to know Josh Snodgrass, Lanch McCormick, and Karl Reasoner.


Meet Matthias Vogel

Senior Instructor, German

Faculty member in residence Matthias Vogel has been involved with the Global Engagement community for many years and lives with you in Global Scholars Hall.  

Matthias’s office is in the GSH Learning Commons. Stop by and practice some phrases auf Deutsch, or ask questions about college life, travel, music, or whatever is on your mind.
