First-Year Students Live On Campus
Incoming first-year undergraduate students live on campus at the University of Oregon. Learn more about the live-on requirement.
At the University of Oregon and University Housing, we are dedicated to creating a respectful, positive, and inclusive community for all our residents. Celebrating our diverse community and challenging racism, homophobia, sexism, and other forms of oppression are key to a community’s success and the future success of all students.
While we respect everyone’s right to a personal viewpoint, we are an academic community that is part of a larger community and world that is increasingly diverse. In addition, technology, business, and educational opportunities have made it necessary for all of us to think of ourselves as world citizens. All of us will benefit from increasing our ability to understand and communicate effectively with people who are different from us. A fundamental starting point for this is treating each other respectfully.
If you have a particular need related to a special accommodation, we would be happy to work to accommodate you.
