Apply for Housing

Apply Today

When to Apply

All first-year students at the UO live on campus. As soon as you are admitted to the University of Oregon, you can fill out your housing application. Room assignments are made based on the date of your housing application.

Take a look at room typesmeal plans, and academic residential communities to help fill out your application.

Stay Another Year

After your first year on campus, if you want to live on campus again you can sign up on my housing in January to keep your current room or select from any available room. You might also consider university apartments. Studying on campus over the summer? No worries, there is summer housing available.

Application Details

Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The sooner you complete your housing application the better. Complete your application online. Fill out the application, then sign your contract and pay a $50 application fee and a $350 prepayment for fall term applicants that goes toward your first term’s room and board costs. Some students are eligible to defer the prepayment based on need.

You can update your fall application any time until July 31, and it will not change the date at which you completed your application.

Room assignments are emailed to students by mid-August. You will receive your room and roommate assignment via your uoregon email; you can also view it by logging into your My Housing page.

Students who qualify and choose to waive their admission application fee and/or Advance Tuition fee may also choose to defer their initial University Housing payment. For those who qualify, an option to defer will be included in the online payment application process. Deferrals have the same financial commitment as payments and must follow the same cancellation guidelines. Please contact University Housing for more information.
