Housing registration for fall 2026–27 is now open!
First-Year Students
You will have access to the My Housing portal approximately 4 days after you receive your admission notification. While your access is being set up, we encourage you to explore our communities, halls, room types, and meal plans. And don’t worry—as long as you register by February 28, you’ll be among the first group of students to go through room selection!
To register, you will need either your UO ID (begins with 95 and was sent via email) or Duck ID (the first part of your UO email account) once that is established.
Room Selection Lottery for First-Year Students
Your housing registration date determines which selection group you will be in to choose your room. Register early to secure priority for your preferred room type and location.
- Group 1: Register by February 28 (order determined by lottery)
- Group 2: Register between March 1 and May 1 (order determined by lottery)
- Group 3: Register on or after May 2 (order determined by lottery)
Returning Students
Returning, transfer, exchange, and visiting students who want to live on campus can register for housing beginning on December 1. Space for non-first-time, full-time students will be limited. If capacity is reached, you can join an interest wait list, which will be used as spaces become available based on the earliest registration date. Priority will be based on the earliest registration date.
Room Selection Lottery for Returning Students
Returning students may choose any available room during the returning student room selection period.
- Returner Group 1: Register by January 23 (order determined by lottery)
- Returner Group 2: Register between January 24 and February 20 (order determined by lottery)
- Returner Group 3: Register on or after February 21 (order is first come, first served)
Students who have not received a housing assignment by August 15 will be asked if they wish to remain on the list.
All Students
Registration Overview
- Complete your registration
- Sign your contract and pay a $50 registration fee and a $350 initial housing payment that goes toward your fall term room and board costs. Some students are eligible to defer the initial payment based on need.
- Students select their rooms (based on their room selection lottery group).
- Students can update their registration form, search for roommates, and select their room at their designated time by logging in to the My Housing portal.
Deferrals
Students who qualify and choose to waive their admission application fee and/or Advance Tuition fee may also choose to defer their initial University Housing payment. For those who qualify, an option to defer will be included in the online payment registration process. Deferrals have the same financial commitment as payments and must follow the same cancellation guidelines. Please contact University Housing for more information.
