Register for Housing

The 2022–23 housing registration now open!

The housing registration for 2022–23 is now open. Admitted students will get an email once they can log in and register for housing. Students do not need to be committed to the UO to register for housing.

Students who are not freshman starting at the UO this fall and looking to live on campus for 2022–23 academic year need to register for housing by June 30, 2022. After this date, students will be placed on an interest wait list. Those placed on the residence hall room assignment interest wait list will be notified of their status by August 15, 2022. When notified by August 15, students on the list could be offered a residence hall room assignment space or offered the opportunity to remain on the list when space becomes available.

All first-time, full-time students coming to UO directly from high school who have completed their residence hall registration and all non-first-time, full-time students who completed their residence hall registration by June 30, 2022 will have a University Housing living space. If you do not see an available space, please check My Housing regularly.

The open room selection process will close July 31, 2022. After that, room assignments will be made for those who do not yet have a room assignment and will be viewable in My Housing.

New students will use the UO ID Login option and then register (create an account) on the My Housing portal using the 95# in the email they are sent. Click the “Register Today” button to get started!

When to Register

All first-year students at the UO live on campus. In December, as soon as you are admitted to the University of Oregon, you can fill out your housing registration. The earlier you sign up for housing, the more choices you will have when selecting your room.

Winter and spring terms 2022 housing registration opens in fall 2021.

Take a look at room typesmeal plans, and academic residential communities to help fill out your registration.

Stay Another Year

After your first year on campus, if you want to live on campus again you can sign up on my housing in January to keep your current room or select from any available room. You might also consider university apartments. Studying on campus over the summer? No worries, there is summer housing available.

Registration Details

Students select their rooms (based on registration dates). The sooner you complete your housing registration the more options you will have. Complete your registration, then sign your contract and pay a $50 registration fee and a $350 initial housing payment that goes toward your fall term room and board costs. Some students are eligible to defer the initial payment based on need.

You can update your fall registration any time until July 31, and it will not change the date at which you completed your registration.

Students can update their registration form, search for roommates starting in June, and select their room at their designated time in July by logging onto My Housing.

Students who qualify and choose to waive their admission application fee and/or Advance Tuition fee may also choose to defer their initial University Housing payment. For those who qualify, an option to defer will be included in the online payment registration process. Deferrals have the same financial commitment as payments and must follow the same cancellation guidelines. Please contact University Housing for more information.
