Alexandra Garner

Alexandra Garner (she/they), PhD ’24 (English), has been at the University of Oregon since 2016. She is originally from Ohio, where she attended Ohio Wesleyan University as an undergraduate double-majoring in French and medieval studies and has traveled the country for graduate school and lived on both coasts.

Garner has master’s degrees in medieval studies and popular culture studies and earned her PhD in English here at the UO with a dissertation called “A Double-Edged Sword: Feminist Reclamation in Neomedieval Fantasy.” Garner’s eleven years of collegiate classroom experience, work history in residence life and admissions/recruitment, and long career in customer service support the work she does leading the Conduct and Care program in University Housing.
