
Sending and Receiving Mail
Students receive mail and packages at their housing service center. If you are planning to mail something, include the student’s first and last name along with their mailbox number. Mailbox numbers will be given to students at check-in. Please send mail only after the student has checked in to their residence hall.

Housing Service Center (HSC) Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have my food delivery left at the service center desk?
No. The service center does not accept deliveries from non-commercial food delivery services (e.g., UberEats, DoorDash). Additionally, we are not liable for any food deliveries left at our the service centers. Please plan to meet your delivery driver directly when they arrive.
Can I send outgoing mail or packages from the service center?
No. The service center does not process outgoing mail or packages.
- Outgoing mail can be placed in any blue USPS box on campus. One is located at the corner between the Knight Law Center and Unthank Hall.
- Outgoing packages should be sent through carrier locations directly (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx).

How long do I have to pick up my package?
You have 24 hours from the time your package is logged to you. If not picked up within that time, it may be returned to the carrier.
What if I cannot pick up my package within 24 hours?
You may request a hold by emailing your service center with the date you intend to pick up your package. Packages can be held for up to seven days for current residents upon request.
Can someone else pick up my package for me?
Yes. If your package is logged inside the service center, email your service center with the full name of the person you authorize to pick it up. Refer to the Community Standards and Expectations for proxy pickup guidelines.
I received a delivery notification, but not from the service center. What should I do?
Please allow up to 24 hours for the service center to process incoming packages. We receive high volumes daily and will notify you as soon as your package is scanned into our system.
Can I send packages to campus before I move in?
No. Due to space limitations, we can only log packages for current residents. Please schedule deliveries for after your move-in date.
I’m moving off campus but forgot to change my address. Can I still pick up my package?
No. The service center only logs packages for current residents. Packages delivered after you move out will be returned to the carrier. Please update your shipping address immediately upon moving off campus.

Can I check out resources from the HSC?
Yes. Residents may check out items such as:
- Hand carts/dollies
- Tools
- Sports equipment
You must present your Flock Card or photo ID. Items must be returned within one hour, unless otherwise specified. Lost or damaged items will incur replacement charges.
Can I get help with lockouts at the HSC?
Yes. Temporary access cards and/or keys are available.
- After three lockouts, a $5 fee applies per additional lockout.
- Temporary cards/keys must be returned within one hour or a $15 late fee will be charged.
- Lost temporary access cards incur a $65 replacement fee.
- Lost temporary keys will result in a minimum of a $65 lock change fee.
Can I use my temporary access card or key to let someone else in?
No. Temporary access items are for your use only. Sharing them with others is prohibited and may result in conduct action.
